This part it so all for Alli, cause like I said before, this was her idea, I just ran with it!
Hope you like!
Part II
Erica refused to turn around, but she stopped walking, leaving her hand on the doorknob. She was willing to hear him out.
David took another deep calming breath, at least that's what it was meant to be, but he heard her soft sobs, and nearly lost all control.
" Loving you," He started, his voice shaky despite all of his efforts to keep himself calm, " was the worst thing that ever happened to me..." He stopped, running a hand nervously through his hair, " Because I can't stop."
She didn't move, keeping her hand firmly on the doorknob, but he heard her gasp through her tears. " No matter what has happened, Erica, no matter how hard I've tried, I've never been able to get you out of my heart." He admitted honestly, and realized that he as much as he wanted to stop, this had to come out, no matter what the consequences.
He didn't give her a chance to respond before he continued, " I told myself that I loved after you. Convinced myself even, and for awhile I believed it. That's why I tried to stay away from you, I knew you'd never be out of my heart, but I thought maybe not being around would help. But it didn't work. I can honestly say, while it's not the same love as it was when were together, I still love you, with all of my heart."
He watched her, as she slowly moved her hand off the doorknob. She didn't turn around, but he knew she was listening to him, and for that he was more grateful then she would never know, no matter what the outcome was.
" If you think for a second that what I did to Bianca, to Miranda, to you doesn't haunt me everyday then you don't know me nearly as well as you think you do." He admitted softly, his voice shaky.
She turned around slowly, wanting to look into his eyes, wanting to see what she heard in his voice. Her eyes locked with his the second she was facing him, a few stray tears managing to fall down her cheeks.
" You and Bianca are the only people who have every believed and stood by me, no matter what. And when you needed me most, when I had the power to give you two a true miracle, I turned my back on you." He closed his eyes, fighting back tears, " I never meant to hurt you or Bianca, never in a million years. I just...I had another chance to be a father, and as much as it killed me to hurt Bianca, I couldn't destroy the only family I have left." He explained honestly, his voice strong and steady, he didn't want her to doubt him for a second.
" I am sorry, Erica, more then you will ever know. If I told you that faced with the choice again, I wouldn't make the same choice, but you would know that's a lie. But I would do things differently. I wouldn't choose one over the other, I would do everything in my power to help them both. But I can't take it back, I can't go back and do it all over again. Erica, you have no idea how much, and I hope that someday you can forgive me." He finished, finally looking at her.
She just stood there, her back against the front door, tears falling down her cheeks. He took a few steps towards her, never taking his eyes off her. " Erica?" He said softly.
" I forgave you a long time ago, David." She admitted tearfully, smiling softly, " I would have done the same thing."
David nodded, smiling at her, reaching out and softly brushing away a few tears with his thumbs. " You could have told me that sooner." He laughed, smiling brightly at her.
" Where's the fun in that?" She teased back, tears still in her eyes.
David nodded, and moved so he could take her face in his hands, " Don't shut down on me now, Erica. Talk to me."
She shook her head slowly, " Where does all of this leave us, David?" She asked softly.
She was shutting down on him, he could hear it in her voice, " Wherever you want it to leave us, Erica. If you want to you can walk out that door and pretend none of this happened, or you can stay here and we can figure out where to go from here. It's up to you."
She smiled slightly at that, " I'm so confused." She admitted.
" I know." He replied, " But whatever decision you make, I think it's good that all of this came out."
She nodded, " Love isn't enough, David. We already know that."
" I think what's between us goes a hell of a lot deeper then just love."
She nodded, slowly, but still wasn't convinced, " But is it enough?"
He shook his head, not sure how to answer her. " All I know is that I love you, and you love me. It's a start."
She shook her head, and he knew if he didn't do something fast she was going to retreat so far, put the walls so far up around her heart that he would never get through to her. So he did the only think he could think to do, and pressed his lips to hers.
She fought him only slightly, afraid to let herself get lost. If they did this, if they made love, there would be no turning back. She pulled away slowly, and looked into his eyes, " We can't do this, David. This isn't going to solve anything."
He nodded, resting his forehead against hers, " That's your head talking, Erica. That's our problem, we're so afraid of this...of whatever this is, that we shut off our hearts and listen to our heads. For once Erica, lets not think, lets just feel." He whispered, leaning into kiss away a few tears on her left cheek.
She nodded, her hands moving slowly and finding their way into his hair, as he repeated his movements, kissing away the tears on her other cheek. She closed her eyes, and let herself get lost, as his lips slowly made their way along the edge of her jaw, and down her neck.
God what it was like to be back in his arms. She'd almost forgotten what he could do with his hands, how just a feather light touch could send chills down her spine.
He kissed her again, harder this time, taking a step back and pressing her against the door. She thought she was going to burst. His kiss was so much better then she remembered, it was deep, hard, sucking, but still filled with so much love that she could feel it course through her.
He had his arms around her, his left one making it's way up her back, finding the zipper on the back of her dress. She moaned under his lips, and he pulled her closer, deepening the kiss.
Her dress was up zipped in matter of seconds, and he was already sliding it off her shoulders, his lips following the same course as his hands. She wasn't idle in their dance, her hands were on their own mission, finding their way under his shirt. He moaned against her lips, pressing his hips into hers.
She smiled, enjoying his reaction to her touch. He raised his arms quickly, refusing to stop their kiss, and let her pull his shirt quickly over his head. Her dress joined his shirt on the floor only seconds later.
He couldn't take this anymore, this was killing him, and by the way she already had his belt off, he figured it was just as painful for her.
He didn't give her time to think, before he wrapped his arms around her waist and lifted her up into his arms. She gasped, momentarily caught off guard, but that only lasted a few seconds.
David turned them around, and she wrapped her legs around him, their hands all over each other. Her head rolled back, her hands in his hair, pulling him as close as possible, David's lips making their way down her chest. He was going to torture her until she begged him to make love to her, she was sure of it.
She practically screamed when his lips found her breast. He kissed the top, feeling her reaction through the thin fabric of her white lace lingerie. He flicked his tongue over her nipple and at that she did scream, her nails racking over his back. She moved her hips against his, and pulled him closer, begging him to continue. That was enough to send him over the edge, and he finally had enough. He pulled her closer, and then started to gently lean down, so he could lay her down on the floor, on the rug...the cow rug she hated with a passion.
Erica didn't care, where they were, or where they were going to end up, all she could do was feel. Just like he said, feel with her body, with her heart, and with her soul.
He was sitting on his heels, smiling a smile that drove her wild before he started torturing her with kisses again. He started at the top of each thigh, and moved up her still covered abdomen, stopping to pay special attention to each breast.
" No more." She whispered, her hands in his hair, pulling his lips back to hers.
That wasn't a suggestion but an order, and David knew it. He had her lingerie off only seconds later, and they moved to a sitting position so she could make quick work of the button on his jeans.
They made quick work of getting his jeans off and they were skin to skin in seconds. He kissed her hard, his arms around he back as he laid her back down.
Neither of them remembered it happening, or maybe they did, but were just so lost to sensation to feel it, but they were joined together, and were moving quickly. There wasn't anything sweet or soft about it, it was all about raw passion, lust, five years of being part. Erica clung to him, her hands racking his back to the point of drawing blood, as he took her higher then she'd ever been before, made her feel things she didn't think was possible.
David was lost in the way the moved, the way she smelled, like flowers and cinnamon. He had to be closer to her, had to be as lost inside of her as he could be, and pulled her closer, moving faster.
It was like they'd never been apart, hadn't missed a day, as the both screamed each others names at the same moment. They're bodies shuttering against each other, as the held on to each other.
David pulled a blanket off the chair, and covered them up a few minutes later. Both of them wanted to move, they really did, but neither of them seemed to be able to find the strength to get up.
Erica smiled at him, laying her head on his chest, after he'd covered them. " This doesn't change anything." She sighed.
" No, but lets not think about that right now. Let's just stay right here, right now, together. We'll deal with the fallout later." He replied kissing the top of her head.
She nodded, and snuggled in closer to him. " You know, this rug still has to go." She laughed.
" Really? I thought we could use it for a bedspread." He teased, as she looked up at him.
" Not on your life." She laughed back, leaning up to kiss him, " Tomorrow, we deal with the rest of our lives, tonight, we just feel."
The End
David wakes Erica with a kiss
