I have such plans for this. This will NOT be easy for D&E. Erica is so stubborn and Erica gets what Erica wants; even if it means that her heart might stop along the way. And David, well David is stuck between a rock and hard place. Hehe.

He got a page before thy had any time to talk, but had promised her he’d be there in time for her ultrasound. She’d wandered around the hospital in a complete daze the entire hour. And now Dr. Clader was finishing up her examine, confirming Joe’s diagnosis. She was nine weeks along and from the external exam, seemed to have a healthy baby. The ultrasound was due to start any minute and David still hadn’t arrived.

She tossed a soft smile toward the door when she saw it open, part her of surprised that David had actually come.

He offered her a soft smile as he moved through the door.

Dr. Clader looked at him over his shoulder, as he continued to get things ready for the ultrasound. “Just in time, Dr. Hayward.”

David nodded and move to stand on Erica’s right side.

“You don’t have to come with me,” Erica said, shaking her head as David walked along side her.

He shook his head back at her, “I need to be there to make sure that there’s nothing Joe misses.”

“What could you possibly pick up that Joe that and his team would miss?” She asked curiously.

“There could be something in your blood work, one of you test results, that I would connect to a problem with your heart. Joe may not make a connection like that.”
