Chapter 25
out. He looked like David, a little thinner, a lot battered and bruised, his face lined with months worth of stubble, though, he didn't yet have a beard. He looked exhausted and his eyes were so lifeless, yet, brimming with so much emotion that it made her heart catch.

"What?" He asked, staring back at her, as they drove to London. She was in the back with him, the officer she'd sent to watch out of her driving. She wanted to be in the back with David, should Vanessa catch up to them, or god forbid had people laying in wait along the roadsides.

She blew out a hard breath and shook her head, "An hour ago you were dead."

He blew out a half scoff, half laugh and nodded, "An hour ago, death seemed like a welcome option."

"My god, David," She breathed, still in awe, "I don't even believe I'm sitting here."

Chapter 24

The hospital wasn't far from where David was hiding, but that still didn't give her time to get to him before Abigail was baptized. So she'd sent her most trusted officer to David's location to keep an eye out until she got there. She gave him orders not to go in. Not to contact David, he knew the officer was there, and to wear plain clothes and drive a civilian car. He was to draw no attention to himself or to David, until she got there. It was the only way she could think to keep him safe until she could get there.

The minister that Erica called had arrived on time and they were all gathered around Abigail's incubator, her tiny form protected from any harm that might to come for her. Not that they would let it. Erica had requested that they not reveal her name until the Minister asked for it, so she was still only Abby to herself and Josh; which seemed rather apropos, all...

I'm glad you were able to continue this story about Josh and Abigail Elizabeth (cute name, by the way) too. This is better than having him be the unabortion, and this makes a heck of a lot more logical and emotional sense. Please keep the chapters coming!!!!

LOL, I have no clue what Erica's middle name is or if she even has one, but I think Erica Elizabeth works, so I'm going with that. I'd also like to say thank you for convincing me to pick this back up. I an write Josh without batting an eye. I couldn't have done that before, the hurt was still to raw. I'm in no way, shape or form over what AMC did, I will never forget our watch again. But, I think the fact that I can write Josh at all, means I won and not them, after all.

Chapter 23

Anna's shock hadn't been much more subdued then Erica's. She laughed in disbelief a few times. Cried at the same moments of realization that Erica had and even smiled softly at him as she to commented that he had David's eyes and smile.

He wasn't sure how Bianca was going to take this news, but...

Thanks again for a heart-filled chapter. Even though I'm not crazy for Anna, it was still a great chapter despite her presence. I love the Josh/Erica interaction. I can't wait for some David/Josh interaction and especially some David/Josh/Erica interaction. I hope a new chapter is coming soon!

Awww so sweet, in many ways.
Anna gets a second chance to be near/take care of a baby girl (David's baby girl) which I like
and then her and Josh are gonna name her, ooooo. And he is proud of who he is and wants everyone to know where he came from

hopefully daddy will be showing up soon. His girl needs to know her daddy is there for her too...

Chapter 23

Anna watched Josh and Erica through the NICU window for a few seconds, hesitating to go inside, even though Erica had requested she join her and Josh.

She didn't want to intrude on such a private moment, even if Erica had sent for her. She drew in a hard breath and finally pushed at the door.

She squeezed her eyes shut for a few moments, trying to push past memories of Leora, so fragile and sick herself as she waged struggle for life.

"Anna," Erica breathed softly, tossing her a smile over her shoulder, "hi."

Anna nodded at her, slowly making her way toward them. Sorry I haven't been around to post my comments lately (family emergency) but I finally got to read this last chapter, and I gotta say it was tense and intense. I literally sighed in relief when David finally got away. I know I keep saying this but it bears repeating, I wish AMC wrote more like this because even in this tense scene you kept it about family and relationships. It's this emotional quality that has me hooked into this story.

"You come to let me out?" David asked of the guard who he was watching come in the door.

"Vanessa said after she's sure you're not able to tip Leo off first," The man told him, shaking his head a s he neared David.

David shook his head and blew out a frustrated laugh, "Just like Vanessa," He spit out, "No matter what she says, she can never keep her word."

Great emotional chapter. This type of writing is a balm for the soapy side of my soul (espeically since AMC is currently an emotional wasteland, devoid of character connections and subtleties). Thanks for giving me what AMC has refused to give their fans in a long, long time.

"Josh," Erica breathed, shaking her head as they neared the door to the NICU, "I don't think I can do this," She told him, turning her head to look up at him. Robin had mandated that she use a wheelchair and Josh had been assigned the duty of seeing to it that she stayed in said wheelchair all the way downstairs.

"She's beautiful, Erica," He told her, offering her a soft smile, "And she's strong. When you finally see her, you can't help but fall in love with her."

She nodded, and tried to flash him a soft smile, "Who does she look like?" She asked, turning her eyes back on the approaching door of the NICU.

"She has your facial structure," He offered, "And her nose is yours. I think her eyes are shaped like David's, though she didn't get to open them before the doctors covered them…"...

Yes I made this review a day late, so shoot me...
And yes LostXphile is right, there are way to little emotionally filled scenes on the show now. But there was one glimmer today when David told Amanda why he wanted better for his son, the fact that Vanessa was a psychopath and he didn't know what love or trust was and that even though her mother was crazy she gave her love.

Ok back to Josh with his mom.... yes Erica Josh is one miracle but there is another miracle waiting for you to see and she needs you now more than ever! Listen to "your" son, "his" son and be with your daughter, she needs you!

It's these touching, emotion filled moments that is sorely lacking in today's AMC. These kind of moments are what got me hooked on AMC, and TPTB just don't get it. Thank you for giving me a little piece of old AMC back!
